Dorothy Crook Truitt

89 year old Dorothy Crook Truitt of Liberty died Saturday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a homemaker and a 60 year member of Prosperity Baptist Church. The funeral will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Thurman Seber will officiate and burial will be in Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from noon until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the service time. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard Crook and Birdie Martin; sisters, Johnnie Fugitt and Willa Mary Martin; and brothers, Ernestine Crook and John Crook. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, William Truitt of Liberty. A niece, Melissa Garrison of Alexandria. A great nephew, Tom and wife Jackie Vickers of Smithville, Great niece, Tiffany and husband Jim Lay of Lebanon. A nephew, Don and wife Carol Crook. Great great nieces and nephews, Chase Gaither, Abigail Vickers, and Caroline and Nathaniel Crook. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
