88 year old Zella League of Smithville died Monday at her residence. She was a retired teacher at Smithville Head Start and a member of the Northside Church of Christ. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burnes Lyons will officiate and burial will be in the Baker Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling and Dessie Starks. Survivors include a son, Jeff League of Smithville. One granddaughter, Shanessa League and one great grandson, Octavio Gaspor both of Gordonsville. A sister-in-law, Jeanette League, and a brother-in-law, Edward Rutland. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m.
