Geraldine Dover Sherrell

73 year old Geraldine Dover Sherrell of Bradyville died Thursday at Centennial Hospital. She was born in Cullman, Alabama. She was a member of the Hollow Springs Community Church and a retired waitress. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Joe Sissom will officiate and burial will be in the Cherry Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, General Thomas and Leona Ward Dover; her husband, Donald Sherrell; two brothers, J.C. and General Thomas “Red” Dover and a sister, Maxine Smith. Survivors include five children, Robert and Don Easterwood both of Bradyville, Thomas and wife Melissa Easterwood of Smithville, David and wife Barbara Merriman, and Theresa Merriman all of Sparta. Earnest Barber

94 year old Earnest Barber of Smithville died Wednesday morning at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a member of the Church of God and a World War II veteran. Barber was also retired from Carrier. The funeral will be Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Ricky Arnold will officiate and burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m. Barber was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Barber; parents, Henry and Eula Barber; two sisters, Dorothy Hawkins and Pearly Washburn; and three brothers, G.W., Elmer, and Eugene Barber. Survivors include two sons, Tommy and wife Nancy Barber and Bobby Barber of Smithville. Six grandchildren, Danny Barber, Scotty Barber, Tabitha Webb, Renee Walker, and Stephanie Barber all of Smithville, and Sarah Harris of Lebanon. Twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Andrew Barber; and two sisters, Josephine Castleberry and Violet Harbor all of Texas. Heather Thompson

Heather Thompson, age 26, passed away on June 14, 2013. She was a 2005 graduate of Gordonsville High School and a 2007 graduate of Vol State. Heather was an active member of 4-H, very competitive, accomplished with sheep and other livestock in the show-ring, where she won numerous events. She also participated in livestock judging. She was a member of the New Middleton Baptist Church and attended the Mt. Juliet Family Worship Center. Her greatest desire was to be a mother

90 year old Wilma Oleda Magness of Smithville died Sunday morning at NHC Healthcare Center in Smithville. She was a member of the Whorton Springs Baptist Church, a retired factory worker, and Home Interior Displayer. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. David Mahan will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Estill and Cilla Mae Vaughn Judkins; her step-mother, Lena Judkins; her husband, Gene Magness; a son-in-law, Roger Foster; and grandsons, Todd, Terry, and Chad Foster. Magness is survived by two children, Priscilla Foster of Smithville and Randall and wife Joy Magness of San Leon, Texas. Four grandchildren, Jeff and wife Betty Foster, Dionndra Foster, Daniel Magness, and Whitt Magness. Step grandchildren, Sarah and husband Andrew Shuff and Jacob and wife Kellie Ward. Robert Shelby Love

Mr. Robert Shelby Love age 86 of McMinnville, TN, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Rain Tree Manor Nursing Center in McMinnville, TN. He was born September 04, 1926, in DeKalb County, TN, was a farmer, active board of director member and former president of Warren County Farm Bureau, served 20 years on the Warren County Commission, and active commissioner of West-Warren Utility District, and attended First United Methodist Church. Mr. Love was preceded in death by his parents William Shelby and Sarah Ara Givens Love.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Peggy Wilson Love, son and daughter-in-law Bobby and Tammy Love, grandchildren Wilson Love and Shelby Love all of McMinnville, TN. Sisters-in-law Evelyn Hamblen and Mary Miller.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 14, 2013, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Robert H. (Bob) Case and Rev. Frank Gale will officiate. Interment will follow at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. The Board of Directors of both the Warren County Farm Bureau, and the West Warren Utility District, and also the Seekers Sunday School Class are asked to serve as honorary pallbearers. 63 year old Janice Ann Hutchings Stafford of Sparta died Saturday at her residence. She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal. 81 year old Edith Young Evans of Smithville died Friday morning at her residence. She was a retired shirt factory worker and a member of the New Bildad Primitive Baptist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Ricky Arnold will officiate and burial will be in the New Bildad Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Waymon and Julie Ann Redmond Young; her husband, James F. Evans; and brothers, Charlie, Felix, Winfred, and James Edd Young. 51 year old Deborah Inez Hawkins of McMinnville died suddenly at her home on Thursday.
She aided her pastor husband for twenty years at Antioch Baptist Church in Coalmont, and the last year at Grace Tabernacle in McMinnville.
She was preceded in death by brother, Jeffery David Hobbs.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Rev. Ricky Hawkins, daughter, Jessica Nichole Hawkins and son, Ethan Garrick Hawkins, all of Tarlton Valley, TN; parents, Carl David and Catherine Hobbs of McMinnville; sister, Shelia and her husband Steve Johnson of McMinnville, a host of loving nieces and nephews; and special great-nieces, Emilya Hobbs and Eden Grissom.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at High Funeral Home in McMinnville. William Wanamaker and Mike Rigsby will officiate. Burial will be at King Cemetery in Grundy County.
