Susie Kayle Short Glenn age 53 of Smithville passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at her residence. She was born February 8, 1964 to her parents the late James and Louise Stacy Short. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 1 sister, Jackie Ayers. Susie had a B.S. in nursing and worked as a RN at DeKalb Hospital for over 25 years. She was a Christian and very supportive of many charitable organizations. Survivors include 1 sister, Patricia Thompson of Celina and 2 brothers, Tony Short of Gainesboro and Marvin Short of Celina. Funeral services will be conducted 5 PM Friday, July 7, 2017at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 5 PM until 8 PM and Friday 3 PM until the time of the service at 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice, in memory of Susie. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
