Sam A. Love

93 year old Sam A. Love, a former DeKalb County Clerk and Master, died Tuesday at NHC of Smithville. He was a retired insurance agent and a retired U.S. Navy veteran from World War II. He was also a member of the Church of Christ. Love served as Clerk and Master from 1955 to 1982. He was preceded in death by his wife, Allie Rhea Foster Love; a son, Sam Morgan Love; parents, Morgan and Janie Puckett Love; and a brother, Frank Love. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Tommy Webb and Tim Woodward will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m, and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. He is survived by a cousin, Robert Shelby Love of McMinnville and devoted caregiver, Debra Robinson of Smithville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
