Marjorie Henegar Smith

90-year-old Marjorie Henegar Smith died Saturday morning at Webb House in Smithville. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 2 at 1:00 at First Baptist Church in Smithville. Rev. Rick Roberts will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, and Tuesday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Smithville.
Smith, a Warren County native was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Sally Henegar of McMinnville; her husband, Jack Coleman Smith, Sr. of Smithville; two sisters, Dora Hayden Norris and Betty Jo Phillips of McMinnville.
Survivors include four sons, Jack and Linda Smith, and Jim and Joye Smith of Lexington, Kentucky, Tyree and Joyce Smith of McMinnville and Karl and Pam Smith of Nicholasville, Kentucky, one daughter, Keely and Tim Hogan of Nolensville, Tennessee; and one sister, Sarah Moore of McMinnville. 12 grandchildren, Leah Jones, Jennifer Smith, Marta Scroggin, Jason Smith, Nathan Smith, Alan Smith, Ryan Smith, Mandy Rawls, Jonathan Smith, Kathryn Maupin, Cole Hogan and Solomon Smith along with 21 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in memory of Marjorie to either All God’s Children, Inc., P.O. Box 932, Nicholasville, Kentucky 40340 or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville is in charge of the arrangements.
