Leslie Howard Moore

70 year old Leslie Howard Moore of Rock Island, died Wednesday at his residence. He was born in Cannon County, Mr. Moore retired from the State of Tennessee with the Division of Property Assessment. He was a member of New Union The Baptist Church, has served as a minister in The Baptist Church Associations for 30 years, was a member of Short Mountain Masonic Lodge No. 373, and was an avid hunter. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents Orville Howard and Grace Cope Moore.
Survivors include his wife Gail Moore, sons Mark Moore, Rock Island, TN, Paul (Joann) Moore, Smyrna, TN, and Jonathan (Crystal) Moore, Rock Island, TN, and daughter Abigail (Eric) Wood, McMinnville, TN, grandchildren Jordan, Nathaniel, Anthony, and Hailey Moore, and Caleb and Aniston Wood, and brother Lynn (Helen) Moore, Rock Island, TN. Several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Eric Wood, Elder Brent Craven, and Elder Bryan Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at New Union Cemetery in DeKalb County. The Moore Family will receive friends Thursday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again Friday from 10 A.M. until 2 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
