Dorothy Marion Tubbs

81 year old Dorothy Marion Tubbs of Smithville died Saturday at her residence. She was a retired assembly line worker at Kingston Timer and a member of the Grace Bible Church. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Cleo Sanders will officiate and burial will be in the Dowell Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Stella Young Eddings, Sr.; her husband, Edward Tubbs, Jr.; a brother, Chester Eddings, Jr.; one sister, Hattie High; a son-in-law, Floyd League, Jr.; a granddaughter, Martisha League; and two grandsons, Marcus League and Kinte Bass. Survivors include two sons, Jimmy and his wife Glenda Tubbs and Eddie and his wife Maureen Tubbs all of Alexandria. Six daughters, Doris League of Smithville, Sandra Bass, Brenda Savage, Yvette and her husband Randall Carven all of Alexandria, Gail Neal of Lebanon, and Tina and her husband Bryan Pebbles of Murfreesboro. Nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren. One sister, Rosetta High of Carthage. One son-in-law, Lewis Bass of Watertown. Four sisters-in-law, Inez Tubbs Bass of Alexandria, Virginia Meyers of Cookeville, and Pauline Griffin and Inez Tubbs of Smithville. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
