74 year old Louise Goodwin of Liberty died Friday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a member of the Faith Congregational Methodist Church and a retired cook at DeKalb West School. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Freddy Savage, Chris Long, and Chris McMillen will officiate and burial will be in the Dismal Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Landon Goodwin; parents, Delmer and Athalene Driver; one son, Steve Landon Goodwin; and a granddaughter, Candace Dodd. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Ellis of Liberty. Two granddaughters, Natosha Reinhart and fiance David Miller of Liberty and Rachel and husband Brandon Haggard of Smithville. One great granddaughter, Autumn Reinhart of Liberty. Four sisters, Reba and husband Louis Fuson of Liberty, Telia Miller of Liberty, Marie and husband Joe Johnson, and Barbara and husband Roger Davis all of Smithville. Maureen McGuire Sellars

87 year old Maureen McGuire Sellars of Smithville died Friday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a member of the Smithville Church of Christ and a retired Nurse Aide with the State Health Department. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Tim Woodward and Dan Gulley will officiate and burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by parents, W.B. and Suzie Rankhorn Green; husbands, Oscar McGuire and Frank Sellars; a son, Jerry McGuire; two brothers, J.D. and James Green; and a sister, Velma Walker. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara J. Underwood of McMinnville. A daughter-in-law, Patsy McGuire of Smithville. Four grandchildren, Angela Neal, Michelle Jones, Steve Martin, and Sherry McGlothen. Five great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Jones, Trey Jones, Seth Jones, Haley Jones, and Cameron Neal. One great great grandson, Brently Youngblood. Glynn Aron Cantrell

79 year old Glynn Aron Cantrell of Smithville died Wednesday at his residence. He was a Baptist, a U.S. Army Veteran, and a self-employed brick mason. The funeral will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Michael Hale will officiate and burial will be in the Young Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. Cantrell was preceded in death by his parents, Zollie and Viola Adcock Cantrell; his wife, Ruth Ann Cantrell; brothers, Gentry Edward, John Thomas, Ernest Clifton, and Virgle Seborn Cantrell; and a sister, Jackie Gay. Survivors include two daughters, Beth and husband Valter Vandergriff and Glenda and husband Kerry Davis all of Smithville. Four grandchildren, Justin and Daniel Vandergriff and Lance and Leah Davis. Three sisters, Lillian and husband Brownie Tittsworth of Smithville, and Lois and husband J.E. Gay and Judy and husband Ronnie Cantrell all of McMinnville. A brother, Dale Cantrell of Knoxville. Rosie E. Pack

78 year old Rosie E. Pack of McMinnville died Monday at River Park Hospital of a sudden illness. She was born in McMinnville, daughter of the late Willie Pedigo and Larkin Pack. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of the Baptist Church. A graveside service will be at the Bonham Cemetery in Smithville on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Kenneth Kirby will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Gardens of Memory Funeral Home in McMinnville. In addition to her parents, Pack was preceded in death by six brothers, Tom, Charles, Arlie, Fred, Franklin, and Clidye Pack. Survivors include two brothers, Lindon Pack and Carl and wife Joanna Pack all of McMinnville. Special nephew, Tommy Pack, several nieces and cousins. James Alton Hayes

63 year old James Alton Hayes of Smithville died Monday at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. He was a member of the Mount Herman Baptist Church and a self-employed business owner. The funeral will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Smithville First Assembly of God at 1650 Cookeville Highway. Larry Briggs and Donnie Kelly will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. Hayes was preceded in death by his father, Alton Hayes; mother, Evelyn Carter Waggoner; and step-father, George Waggoner. Survivors include his wife, Amy Keith Hayes of Smithville. Three children, Jayme Linn Hayes of Smithville, Brently James Hayes of McMinnville, and Amanda Hayes Stallcup of McMinnville. Charlie B. Hendrixson

90 year old Charlie B. Hendrixson of Smithville died Saturday at the Veterans Hospital in Murfreesboro. He was a retired carpenter and he attended the Gath Baptist Church. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. David Mahan will officiate and burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Lassiter Hendrixson; parents, Charlie Robert and Ethel Childress Hendrixson; brothers, Jay and Robert Hendrixson; and a sister, Sally Mabel Brown. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Whitlock of Lascassas and Wanda Hendrixson of Smithville. Two sons, Rick Hendrixson of Palm Dessert, California and David and wife Kathy Hendrixson of Smithville. 70 year old Norma Jean Leadlove died Saturday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was an Insurance Claims Clerk with Blue Cross Blue Shield and a member of the Center Hill Brethren in Christ. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by parents, Carrol Victor and Goldia Sylvia Bardmess Barr; a sister, Beverly Rogers; and a brother, Gene Barr. 73 year old Jodie Bain Martin of Smithville died Friday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was retired from Kingston Timers and was a member of the Center Hill Brethren in Christ. 79 year old Lucille Jennings of Alexandria died Thursday afternoon at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Hettie Malone Parkerson and was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Douglas Jennings and 11 brothers and sisters. Lucille was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and retired from Robertshaw Lux Time in Lebanon. She is survived by her daughters, Jan Fite of Alexandria and Judy Craddock of Lebanon; grandchildren, Jason Fite of Gadsden, AL, Jeff and wife Samantha Craddock of Lebanon, Jesse Craddock of Lebanon; great grandchildren, Natalie Craddock and Caitlin Ring; sister, Jean and husband Jimmy Reasonover of Alexandria; brother, Butch Parkerson of Liberty; nieces and nephews. 81 year old Roberta Pauline Looney of the Johnsons Chapel Community of DeKalb County died Thursday at NHC of Smithville. She was a homemaker. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Johnsons Chapel Freewill Baptist Church where she was a member. Garry Farris will officiate and burial will be in the Johnsons Chapel Cemetery.
