Mary Judkins Adcock

84 year old Mary Judkins Adcock of Smithville passed away at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Hope The Baptist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Dwight Knowles and Bro. Johnny Adcock will officiate and burial will be in the Jaco Judkins Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from noon until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James M. Adcock; parents, Jess and Eva Judkins; a son, Kelvin Adcock; three daughters, Janice Adcock, Deborah Adcock, and Patricia Adcock. Siblings, Earlene Jeffries, Elsie Adcock, Norvell Judkins, Hobert Judkins, Harry Judkins, and John Judkins. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Steve Merz of Smithville. A son, Lee Adcock of Smithville. Four grandchildren, Stephanie and Wayne Reagan of Smithville, Mason Brandt and Daniel Brandt of Murfreesboro, Quinton Adcock of Smithville, and Ashley Brandt of Florida. Nine great grandchildren, Makira Johnson, Ricky Perry, Allie Key, Emma Johnson, Aspen Johnson, Carmen Johnson, Kelvin Reagan, and Brantley Adcock all of Smithville, and Daniel Brandt of Murfreesboro. Two sisters, Gloria Martin of Smithville and Jessie Fleming of Indiana. Two brothers, Lewis Judkins and Frank Judkins of Smithville and several nieces and nephews. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu to flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the Mt. Hope The Baptist Church Children’s Sunday School fund.
