68 year old Lynn Ellery Colwell of the Jefferson Community died Thursday at Alive Hospice Madison Campus. He was a mechanic at True Value Hardware and a member of the Mount Hope The Baptist Church. He was also a former school bus driver. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Gary McBride and Dwight Knowles will officiate and burial will be in the Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the service 2:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abe Jackson Colwell and Clara Frances Summers. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Brenda Colwell. Three sons, Trent and wife Christie Colwell, Chad and wife Deana Ruth Colwell, and Gabe and wife Heather Colwell. Eight grandchildren, Sarah Anne Colwell, Lauren Colwell, Katie Colwell, Madison Colwell, Jake Colwell, Luke Colwell, Ian Colwell, and Lola Colwell. Three sisters, Shirley and husband James Dunn of Smithville, Sandra and husband Roger Kirby of Cookeville, and Ella Rhea and husband Tommy Hale of Watertown. One brother, Austin Colwell of Smithville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
